How Can I Be a Good Leader?
The most important qualities of being a good leader are effective communication, decision-making, integrity, empathy, accountability, courage, respect, self-awareness, and trust. We teach our clients that they can acquire these qualities through a Martial Artist mindset.
Aiki-Karate defines leadership as the life force that generates innovative methods to motivate people to achieve an individual’s or organization’s planned SMART Goals ©. This life force is connected to a person’s physical, spiritual, and mental energies with the Five Elements of Nature. The Five Elements of Nature are Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and God.
Aiki-Karate utilizes Hoshin Ryu Ninjitsu’s Kuji Kiri [九 手 兆し] (i.e., nine hand signs) technique to channel energy throughout the body during meditation and in battle. This is performed mentally by focusing the power of the mind and spirit through the body by punching, kicking, grappling, and other forms of tactical combat.
The Kuji Kiri also serves as a psychometric tool Martial Artists use to develop a sharper sense of self-awareness and awareness of people. Our clients are taught how to use this tool to improve operational decisions, enhance communications, and better understand employee behaviors.
